Your first day with Sevo

What the sample data is for, the seven setup steps, and how to reach the register and the back office.

Two surfaces, one login

The back office (Dashboard, Catalog, Inventory, Purchasing, Finance, Insights, Settings) is where you manage the business. The register (POS) is the till: open it on the tablet or PC at the counter from the dashboard's "Open register" button or at /pos.

The setup guide

Administrators see a setup guide on the dashboard with seven steps. Three tick themselves when the system can see they are done (sample data ready, a teammate invited, a plan chosen); the others you tick when you have done them. Hide the guide any time.

Sample data

A new company comes with sample products, prices, opening stock, a register and a year of sales so every screen has something to show. Replace it with your own data when you are ready: import your products, post your opening stock, then archive the sample items you do not sell.

Insights needs sales history to forecast — the sample history is what makes the demo forecasts possible. Your own forecasts appear after a few weeks of real sales.
