Download the month
- Open Finance → Reports and click Export for your accountant.
- Choose the Month. Last month is chosen for you.
- Choose the file: Tally, QuickBooks Online, Xero, a spreadsheet of every line, the trial balance or the chart of accounts.
- Leave One entry a day for the till's sales ticked: the accountant gets one entry a day for the till instead of one for every sale.
- Click Download and send the file to your accountant.
The file holds every posting dated in the month, including reversals, so the month balances. Export again after a late correction.
For Tally
- The first time, download Tally: ledgers and import it in Tally (Import → Masters). It creates your accounts as ledgers under the standard groups.
- Each month, download Tally: the month's vouchers and import it (Import → Transactions in TallyPrime, Import of Data → Vouchers in Tally.ERP 9).
The accountant can move a ledger to another group in Tally; the name must stay the same.
For QuickBooks Online or Xero
QuickBooks Online: Settings → Import data → Journal entries. The account names in the file are your Sevo account names; create or rename accounts in QuickBooks to match, once.
Xero: Accounting → Manual journals → Import. The account codes in the file are your Sevo codes; the accountant maps them to the Xero chart once. VAT is already on its own lines, so type the name of your no-VAT rate in Xero in the export window.
Both use dates as day/month/year.
