What the profile is for
The company profile is what your documents print about you. Receipts use it right away. Fill it in on your first day, before customers see a receipt.
On the right of the screen, the "Receipt preview" shows a sample receipt as you type, so you can check the result before saving.
Fill in the profile
- Open Settings → Company.
- Under "Identity", enter the "Legal name" as registered, for example Perera Hardware (Pvt) Ltd, and the "Trading name" your customers know you by. When a trading name is set, it is printed instead of the legal name. You need at least one of the two.
- Type the "Address" with one line per line, up to four lines, then the "City" and "Country".
- Under "Contact", add the "Phone", "E-mail" and "Website".
- Under "Tax registration", choose the type (VAT, TIN, SVAT or BRN) and type the number. It is printed on receipts and invoices.
- Under "Receipt text", add a "Header line" that prints under your name, for example your opening hours, and a "Footer" of up to 240 characters for your return policy or a thank-you note.
- Press "Save company profile". You see "Company profile saved."
If you leave the footer empty, receipts end with "Thank you!".
Add your logo
The logo is used on A4 documents. Receipts print your name only, not the logo.
- In the "Logo" section press "Upload logo".
- Choose a PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG file of 512 KB or less.
- The message "Logo uploaded - save to keep it." appears. Press "Save company profile" to keep it.
- To change it later press "Replace logo"; to take it off press "Remove".
Branches with their own address
The company address is your main address. If each store has its own address, set it on the store under Inventory → Locations.
If the form will not save
The field with the problem is marked with a message. The common ones are: "Enter a legal or trading name.", "Use at most four address lines.", "Enter a valid e-mail address." and "Enter a valid website, e.g. www.example.lk."
If you see "You can see the company profile but not change it - ask an administrator.", your role can only read this screen.
