Open a week
If nobody appears, set the Home store on each employee's record. You need at least one store or warehouse under Inventory → Locations first.
- Go to People → Rosters.
- Choose the Store. Everyone whose home store it is has a row.
- Use Previous week, This week and Next week to move between weeks.
Add and change shifts
A shift is refused on a day the person has approved leave, or where it overlaps another of their shifts.
- Press + in a person's row on the day you want.
- Enter Start and End, and the unpaid Break (minutes) inside the shift if there is one.
- Optionally fill Doing what (for example Till 1, Floor or Deliveries) and a Note.
- Save. The new shift shows dashed: it is a draft until you publish.
- To change or remove a shift, press it. Remove shift takes it off the week and changes nothing else.
Copy last week fills the week from the week before, which saves typing for a regular pattern.
Publish the week
Press Publish week when the plan is ready. Dashed shifts become solid, and staff see their published shifts in My space. Unpublished changes are marked on the screen.
Plan against what happened
Beneath each day you see what the till recorded: first arrival and last departure, and the hours. Arrivals and departures come from clocking in and out, opening and closing a register shift, or sales. When only sales were recorded, the times are the first and last sale and the day is marked with ~ (estimated).
If a person had a shift on a past day but nothing was recorded, the day shows No sign of them.
At the end of each row you see planned and worked hours for the week. A person who worked more than the normal week is marked Overtime, and a week planned beyond it is marked Planned over, before it happens.
Download the hours
Press Download hours (CSV) for the week. You get one line per person per day with a shift or attendance: planned start, end and minutes against first in, last out and worked minutes, with the estimated and corrected flags. Each person has a total line that also carries overtime minutes.
