Why archive instead of delete
Your sales, stock movements and reports still point to the items you sold in the past. So Sevo never deletes them. Archiving hides an item from tills and lists, while its history stays complete.
Archive a whole product
- Open Catalog → Products and click the product.
- Click Archive product at the bottom.
- Read the message and click Archive product again to confirm. The product and all its variants disappear from tills and lists. Sales history is kept.
Archive one variant
- Open the product.
- Click Archive on the variant row, for example a size you no longer stock.
- Confirm. The variant shows an Archived badge and is no longer offered for sale. The other variants carry on as normal.
Categories, price lists and tax rules
Each of these lists has an Archive button on every row. An archived category disappears from menus. Registers that used an archived price list fall back to the default list. Before you archive a tax rule, move the products that use it to another rule.
Sample data can stay while you set up. Once your own products are in, remove all the sample data in one go under Settings → Company.
