Ask Sevo: the help assistant

Ask how to do something in your own words, in English, Sinhala or Tamil, and get a short answer with a link to the guide. A person is always one tap away.

Who can do this: Everyone who can sign in, including employees who only use My space.

What Ask Sevo is

Ask Sevo is a help assistant that answers questions about using Sevo in English, Sinhala or Tamil. It answers from this manual and links to the guide it used, so you can check the steps.

It is an AI assistant. It knows the screen you are on and what your role allows, but it cannot see your company's sales, stock or other records, and it cannot do anything in the app for you. Check the linked guide before you act.

Ask a question

  1. In the back office, press Help at the top of the screen. At the till, open the menu (☰) and press Help.
  2. Press one of the suggested questions, or type your own question and press Send.
  3. Read the answer. Press a guide under From the guides to open the whole guide in a new tab.
  4. Press Helpful or Not helpful under the answer. If it was not helpful, you can say what was wrong: it tells us which guides to improve.
  5. Press New conversation to start again on another subject.

Ask one thing at a time, in your own words, for example “How do I refund a customer?”.

Talk to a person

Talk to a person is always at the bottom of the help panel. The assistant also offers it when it is not sure, or when your question is about billing, an error message or missing data.

Add anything you want to say and press Send to the Sevo team. We receive the conversation, your company, the screen and the app version, so you do not have to explain again. We reply by e-mail, usually the same working day. During our hours (Monday to Saturday, 8:30 to 18:00 Sri Lanka time) you can also WhatsApp us from the same screen.

Limits and privacy

To keep the service fair, each person can ask 30 questions a day and each company 200. When a limit is reached the assistant says so, and you can still talk to a person.

Conversations are kept for 90 days so that our support team can follow up, and then deleted. They are kept with your company's own data; other companies never see them.
